Make sure this doesn't happen to you! I've read here that Skyrim eats a lot of VRAM and since I play it a lot, I'd probably need 4GB if I went with the 770 or 760.Anyone have any TRIALS FRONTIER Official Announcement and News General Discussion Support (iOS) Support (Android) Community The OTHG The Clubhouse Hot Lap Challenges The Gallery LIVE STREAMS Official Live Streams Community Live Streams GENERAL We have people on this sub with 760s and 770s playing vr games. I want to start with being very budget minded. Oh, and as I had expected I am really liking PC sim racing. Lower-grade ATI or higher-grade nVidia ??? It had this feature that was really cool, though - a connector to bring the HDMI to the front of the case. So the idea of a passively cooled chipset is quite appealing to me. Always had very good performance from them. .....and I can't recommend the Antec Neopower 480 psu enough.
The new cards have some tech behind them that when implemented in games, gives far superior vr framerates, even without the tech it's still going to be a far better card. Currently have 4gb corsair dd3 1333 so will probably throw some more ram in to. Haven't done anything TOO intensive yet (and I only do SD). Bare minimum to play current games.I would probably go for the 280X, but I worried about not having a big enough PSU.
It looks pretty impressive to me, especially for £55. All Rights Reserved. I know it is not top of the line, and trust me... From what I've seen on these forums we have a fair few quite knowledgeable gurus so I figured i'd ask some opinions.Nvidia GTX590 vs 2x GTX580 in SLI vs AMD 6990 You'll have to define your resolution, if you're building it for WoW or other games, and what your other hardware looks like for us to provide any decent recommendation. As to resolution Thanks Reply Reply With Quote 01-08-2005,12:05 PM #2 Guidon666 View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Senior Member Join Date Mar 2003 Posts 978 Ok.

Oh yeah, I run dual 1920x1200 monitors and I play a wide variety of games from heavily modded Skyrim, the "X" series of space games, modded Fallout 3/NV, Civ5, and the mainly because I'm an addict. permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–]Zarevos 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago(1 child)980ti is going to cost you in some cases more than a 1070 (which is much better) if youre just now buying a card have a peek here tsk tsk) The only thing i am hesitant of is the video card selection I made.

I've read a review on Tom's hardware which put it on a par with N-Force 4 motherboards, so fingers crossed! Again.. the i7 only beats out the i5 in stuff like photoshop if you do a lot of that stuff. It will still be overkill for WoW (and many other games) but you should have no trouble running any game released in the next 3-5 years.Yeah I'm certainly not aiming for
But then my original ASRock motherboard for this computer also did the job just as well really. Sign in here. I'll sell it or build a 2nd box and get another vive for my kid if we can find some awesome things to do together in VR space.. Check This Out Would that be dramatically slower than my above planned desktop config (DELL Dimension 9200, Core2duo E6700, ATI X1950Pro) ?

I just want it to be a good experience and not sure if the 970 is just passable or if it'll be a solid enjoyable foray into VR. I even carry this philosophy over to downloading drivers now, because every time a new feature is added to my video drivers I have some sort of issue so I instead Reply Reply With Quote 01-08-2005,07:32 PM #8 Trogdor93 View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Member Join Date Jan 2005 Posts 223 I don't think so.
